Dyckerhoff Interim Report January to September 2009

Group sales declined by 32 % - Outlook for fiscal year 2009 confirmed

In the first nine months 2009 Group sales went down by 32 % to almost EUR 1.1 billion. Because of the global economic crisis volumes declined in all regions; Russia and Ukraine were hit particularly hard. Accordingly, Group sales decreased in all divisions.

Group EBITDA declined by 48 % and amounted to EUR 241 million, including positive one-time effects of EUR 24 million in all.

Depreciation and amortization decreased by EUR 14 million and net interest and other financial results decreased by EUR 7 million. The result before income taxes declined by EUR 218 million to EUR 128 million. Accordingly, the nine-month net profit went down to EUR 96 million.

„Though the bottom of the worldwide recession seems to be passed, however, there is no recovery noticeable in the markets which are relevant for Dyckerhoff. For fiscal year 2009 we continue to expect Group sales to drop as low as EUR 1.4 billion”, says Wolfgang Bauer, CEO of Dyckerhoff AG. „The EBITDA margin will be slightly over 20 % and return on sales slightly over 7 %“, adds Wolfgang Bauer.
