Dyckerhoff’s presence in the Czech cement market consists of an integrated cement plant at the Hranice site, which has cement capacity of 1.1 million tons. We have marketed around 1.0 million tons of cement and other hydraulic binding agents in 2011.

In the Czech Republic, we also operate two ready-mixed concrete companies with a total of 62 sites; these give us a major presence in the urban centers where there is strong construction activity. Our company in Slovakia, ZAPA beton SK, currently operates 20 locations. The Dyckerhoff ready-mixed concrete companies’ total 2011 volume amounted to a good 1.7 million m³. Furthermore, we operate a total of 10 aggregate quarries (seven in the Czech Republic and three in Slovakia), which sold almost 1.6 million tons of aggregates.
