In Russia we hold a majority interest (around 77 %) in an integrated cement plant at the Suchoi Log location, near Ekaterinburg. The cement capacity at this plant was 2.4 million tons. We started building a new kiln line early 2007, which started operation in December 2010. Thanks to the new kiln line, capacity in Russia increases to 3.5 million tons. In addition to the standard gray cements, well cements are of particular importance to the plant’s volume, given its proximity to the oil and gas fields in the Tyumen region.

Our volume of cement and other hydraulic binding agents was at about 1.8 million tons in 2010.
