Since the beginning of 2004 our American cement plants have been merged with those of Buzzi Unicem – our major shareholder – to form the joint venture company RC Lonestar / Buzzi Unicem USA, in which Dyckerhoff holds a 48.5 % interest. In the USA we produce standard and special cements as well as mortar.

Buzzi Unicem USA incorporates seven integrated cement plants and 31 terminals, which are primarily located in the Midwest and the eastern United States. The American locations have a total cement capacity of 8.3 million tons; our share of 48.5 % translates to 4.0 million tons. In 2011, Dyckerhoff’s 48.5 % share of Buzzi Unicem USA’s total volume of cement and other hydraulic binding agents amounted to approximately 2.5 million tons.
