In Russia, we operate two integrated plants in the Urals region and one terminal in Siberia.
One cement plant is located at the town of Suchoi Log, 100 kilometers east of Ekaterinburg, the largest city in the Urals with 1.5 million inhabitants. In addition to the standard Portland cement, we produce API and GOST well cements that are particularly important, given that Suchoi Log is the closest cement plant to the rich oil and gas fields in Western Siberia. Suchoi Log is the largest facility worldwide in terms of oil well cements production volume.
The other plant is situated just 40 kilometers south of Chelyabinsk in the Urals with 1.2 million residents, and 300 kilometers south of Suchoi Log.
The two Russian sites have a total cement production capacity of 4.3 million tons.
Since 2013, we have operated a cement terminal in Omsk, a Siberian city with 1.2 million inhabitants, located 900 kilometers east of Suchoi Log.
