Concrete Event 2025: On the path to sustainable and circular concrete
This was once again the theme of this year's Concrete Event. The joint stand of Dyckerhoff and Dyckerhoff Basal addressed this topic and provided information about CO2-reduced cements and concretes for more sustainable construction.
The Concrete Event 2025 brought together experts from the concrete, construction, and technology industries for an intensive exchange of ideas. The focus was on current developments, innovative processes, and forward-looking applications relating to concrete and sustainable construction methods. Participants gained insights into new material technologies, best practice examples, and practical specialist presentations. The event also provided an important platform for professional exchange along the entire value chain – both within the Netherlands and internationally.
More than 60 companies presented their products and services at the trade exhibition. Dyckerhoff and Dyckerhoff Basal presented CO2-optimized cements, ECODUR concrete, which has been newly launched on the Dutch market, and selected construction projects, including the KJ Den Haag building complex, which is currently still under construction and has already attracted special attention in the industry as an example of sophisticated, innovative, and sustainable architecture and concrete technology.
Interested visitors quickly engaged in conversation with the team at the busy double stand. Contacts included Christian Bechtoldt (Technical Advisor and Sales Manager for White Cement), Jens Söbke (Sales Manager for Gray Cement North/West and the Netherlands), and Dr. Werner Remarque (Construction Advisor for the Dutch and Belgian markets). Jan van Diest, Frans Hoksbergen, and Mathias Heinrich from the sales, concrete technology, and management departments of Dyckerhoff Basal were also available to answer questions.
Interactive formats such as the “Concrete Experience” and various exhibition areas complemented the program and offered extensive opportunities for knowledge transfer. The Concrete Event 2025 took place for the first time at the 1931 Congress Center in ’s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), Netherlands, and once again provided important impetus for the further development of the industry. According to the organizer, more than 1,100 people took part. At the same time, the previous three-year motto was concluded and the new event theme was presented: Sustainability Through Collaboration (Verduurzamen door Samenwerken).
