69th BetonTage: Modern Construction Technologies in Focus
Innovative concrete and cement solutions as well as sustainable construction concepts shaped the expert presentations and discussions at Europe’s largest concrete conference.
"Rethinking sustainability" was the motto of BetonTage 2025, which took place from March 11 to 13 in Ulm. This provided an opportunity to present products, have meaningful conversations with market partners, and strengthen or establish new relationships during evening events.
This year’s edition of the 3-day event was dedicated entirely to sustainability in the concrete industry. At the Dyckerhoff booth, the focus was on CO2-reduced products such as the gray cements CEDUR and ECO COMFORT, the white cement BLUE STAR, and the concrete ECODUR. A particular highlight was the ice cream stand, where visitors could enjoy a variety of flavors — including the exclusive "BLUE STAR" flavor served in a unique BLUE STAR ice cream cup.
As part of BetonTage, Fulvio Canonico, head of the Wilhelm Dyckerhoff Institute — the Dyckerhoff research facility — spoke in the Innovations Podcast about the role of pozzolanic activity in the production of white cement, which is instrumental in decarbonizing the cement industry. The recording of the German podcast is available on our website and the YouTube channel of the Baden-Württemberg Concrete Associations.
This year also included the Concrete Block and Precast Podium organized by the Information Community for Concrete Elements (Info-b). Both the podium and the adjacent exhibition booth next to the Dyckerhoff stand focused on sustainable processes for producing concrete elements and CO2 reduction for this particularly versatile material. During presentations, member companies showcased exciting projects, innovative products, and processes, highlighting strategies and groundbreaking solutions in sustainability and environmental protection.
As in previous years, Martin Möllmann (Head of Sales for White and CSA Cements) moderated the award ceremonies for the YOUTH AWARD FOR CONCRETE ELEMENTS, presented by the Vocational Training Foundation for Concrete and Precast Element Producers and the Eberhard-Schöck-Foundation, as well as the CONCRETE DESIGN AWARD, sponsored by the Federal Specialist School for Concrete Work’s supporting association.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the engaging exchange with customers, partners, and all other participants!
