Award for Safe Working Practices
Three-time title defense at the BTB Occupational Safety Award “Safe with Concrete”
At this year’s “Praxis Transportbeton” conference organized by the Federal Association of the German Ready-Mixed Concrete Industry (BTB) on September 9 and 10, 2026, in Berlin, the BTB Occupational Safety Award “Safe with Concrete” was once again presented. The award recognizes companies that have recorded no reportable workplace accidents during the past three years.
Among the 14 successful ready-mixed concrete and concrete pumping companies were once again our concrete subsidiaries: Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Schmalkalden GmbH & Co. KG in the category of up to 50 employees and Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG in the category of 50 or more employees. For Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Schmalkalden, this marks its fourth success in the BTB occupational safety competition, while Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Thüringen has now been successful for the third consecutive time. On behalf of the entire workforce, Managing Director Ronny Pollack (second from right in the title photo) accepted the coveted “glove” award.
Dyckerhoff Beton Rheinland-Pfalz GmbH & Co. KG (since April 1, 2026, operating as the Rhineland-Palatinate branch within Dyckerhoff Beton GmbH & Co. KG) also successfully defended its title. Markus Baumann (second from left in the title photo), formerly Managing Director of Dyckerhoff Beton Rheinland-Pfalz and now Branch Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Due to the integration of Rhineland-Palatinate into Dyckerhoff Beton GmbH & Co. KG, this was also the company’s final participation in the BTB occupational safety competition as an independent entity.
In addition, Louis Störmer was honored for completing his training as a Process Technician for Ready-Mixed Concrete at the Erfurt plant as the top graduate of his year. As he was unable to attend the event in person, Managing Director Carsten Scherer (left during the award presentation; BTB President Felix Manzke on the right) accepted the award on his behalf. In November, Louis Störmer will also be recognized by the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Erfurt) as part of its 2026 Best Graduates Awards. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
